Lauren McElroy from the Arkansas Rice Depot spoke about the services this non-profit provides the hungry in Arkansas.The Rice Depot is the only statewide food bank in the US.In 2009 they distributed over 7 million pounds of food.They have a new program called Kids Coat Project to provide coats, hats, scarves and gloves to students.For more information check out www.ricedepot.org.
